The autonomous L&D department

Elad Alfia · Oct 2026

For twenty years, learning teams have been asked to do more with the same people. More programs, more audiences, more formats. The answer was always better tools for producing content.

From producing to operating

AI changes the question. Analysis, personalization, generation, recommendation and activation can now run continuously, for every employee, without a project plan for each one.

Humans govern

That does not remove people from L&D. It moves them to the decisions that matter: what the organization needs, what good looks like, and what the AI is allowed to do.

A new measure

When every employee has a path, completion stops being a useful number. The question becomes whether people are ready for their role, and what they need next.
